Biography

Dr. Nardi Casap-Caspi (DOB: June 10, 1961) is an educationist, researcher and specialist in Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery. Presently is Professor and Chairman Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department,
Faculty of Dental Medicine, Hebrew University Hadassah Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Israel (1998). He
acquired all his essential education in Bucharest, Romania. He graduated in dentistry (DMD) at the
“Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest, Bucharest, Romania (1987) and in
medicine (MD) at the Hebrew University Hadassah Jerusalem, Jerusalem, Israel (1999).
He defended his doctor’s thesis on the subject of orthognathic surgery (PhD).
He specialized in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) under
the coordination the well-known Professor Dr. R. Bruce Donoff, Walter C. Guralnick Distinguished
Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the Dean, Harvard University Boston, MA, SUA.
He published over 50 original papers in peer-reviewed journals and book-chapters on the oral
implantology and the orthognathic surgery. He is also a recognized lecturer in nationally and
internationally meetings.
Dr. Casap served as member of numerous editorial boards, including the Stomatology Edu Journal.
Research interests: (1) reconstruction of alveolar and bone-deficient jaws using growth factors and bone
morphogenetic proteins, (2) periosteal distraction, (3) navigation surgery systems, (4) orthognathic
surgery, (5) minimal invasive endoscopic surgery.
